Abstract

This study aims to increase the corrosion resistance of the working surfaces of mining excavators by coating them with manganese (Mn). Excavator bearings are subjected to heavy loading and abrasive wear, so extending their service life is an important technological task. In the study, high-manganese steel 110G13L was used, and methods of heat treatment and Mn coating were used to improve its mechanical and structural properties. The results showed that the corrosion resistance of Mn-coated alloy surfaces was significantly improved compared to conventional steel. This technology can be an effective solution for increasing the durability of excavator parts and reducing operating costs in the mining industry.
