Abstract

Intergranular corrosion of austenitic steels and alloys significantly affects their strength and service life. This article examines the mechanism of intergranular corrosion in austenitic steels, the main factors influencing it, and methods for its prevention. The study employs electrochemical analysis and microscopic examination methods to investigate the impact of humidity, temperature, and chemical composition on corrosion. Based on the results, recommendations are provided to enhance corrosion resistance.
